Here are answers to some of the questions folks may have about the new E7+ Lithium
Have we abandoned the 1,000 mile system?
No, both the Infinity Drive and our Lithium battery pack systems were created around the same time, but our focus has always been the Infinity Drive as we feel it is the future, however as a company we have to get into the market as quickly as possible, and the lithium system is ready to go now, whereas the Infinity Drive has several approvals to go before it can be sold internationally.
Factory direct vs. Dealership purchase.
The lithium E7+ will be a factory direct purchase therefore you will not have to go anywhere for service, we will pick your vehicle up and drop off a replacement vehicle, for the duration of service.
We’re going to have dealership locations throughout the United States starting in 2023, we will have the updated list of locations nearest you within the next month.
Lithium battery pack.
The battery is maintenance free, and the WiFi equipped replacement vehicles will be through EPA, UL and DOT before the end of 2023 so we do not foresee battery issues coming before the warranty expires on the unit.
Standard equipment for the Lithium E7+
navigation, back up camera (Your replacement unit will have 360 bird's eye view camera with warning sensors) USB front and rear, sunroof, electric opening and closing rear hatch, WiFi hotspot, 10 inch infotainment screen, low speed pedestrian reminder.
Current horsepower for this release is 250 Horse power, max torque 300 foot pounds your replacement will have a minimum of 350 HP and 400 foot pounds of torque.
WARRANTY! This is a big one because no one wants to purchase a new electric vehicle and have to worry about the battery!
Therefore an extended warranty will be available for the base model E7+ lithium. However our goal is to move forward with the Infinity Drive system, as the range (1,000 miles with a 5 minute recharge) and options that, that system has will provide a far better ownership experience.
With the replacement vehicle you will have 10 year, 100,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty no matter how many miles you put on the lithium powered unit. Yes you read that right, if you purchase a lithium E7+ you will be able to turn that vehicle into your local Mims Motors dealership and pickup your new E7+ equipped with the Infinity Drive system for $1 dollar. (Just don’t tear it up before handing it in please 😅 as we are going to do something really special for teachers, emergency service workers and others, so since they are going to another home after yours, please be kind.)
Parts
Parts will be available, however again with either vehicle you're fully covered. As regards the lithium unit, as it is factory direct we will come pick the vehicle up and drop off a replacement, repair and return it to you free of charge, whereas the WiFi equipped vehicle will have full factory and dealer support, near you.
If you wish to keep the lithium powered unit for whatever reason, (we don’t know what those might be but it’s your vehicle, you do as you please.) extended warranties will be available.
